Thursday mornings at the High Museum of Art will start to be a regular event for us, I think. Taking my children to this beautiful building and exposing them (and myself) to art while having fun in an air conditioned atmosphere in the summer. It does not get much better than that. The cherry on top was having lunch at Chick Fil A across the street afterwards. A very fun Thursday morning with our friends Susan, Ryan and Peter.

This week's art focus was on Anslem Kiefer's painting "Drache". He incorporates a wide range of materials including straw, ash, clay, sand, and lead. The art activity for the children was painting with paint that had sand mixed into it. It was cool to see the texture.
