Evan and his preschool class took a field trip to Publix last week, as it related to a story and theme they had been talking about in class. The employees were so kind and generous to the children! They received a chicken finger to eat at the deli, a hairnet (which they wall wanted to wear around the store), a giftbag with an apple, cookie and coloring pads in it, a balloon, and even a real Publix employee nametag!
We walked to the store from the church, where the preschool class meets. I went along to help hold hands across the busy street. All the children made a shopping list and then looked for items on their list when they were in the store. Here, Evan is showing me the Oreo cookies he had on his list that he found on the shelf. I think some of the children thought they would actually get to buy the items on their list (which is why Evan had cookies, Goldfish, etc) :) He even had Coke Zero on his list, for Papou.

In the seafood department, the woman got a lobster out of the tank and let everyone touch it! Evan thought this was so cool!!
